My name is AJ Hussey. In 2007, I graduated from the culinary arts program at Academy Canada and since then I have won numerous awards for my skills as a cook. Over the next 8 years, I worked in the food industry in various capacities including managing some fabulous restaurants. Although preparing delicious food for others is one of my greatest passions! In a world where fast past and fast food is everything, I feel that the skill and love for cooking is dying. We are at a point where grandma does not know how to cook and share her knowledge to her kin. I was lucky to grow up in a small city in Newfoundland. Even there the knowledge of cooking is dying. I am on a mission to help people live a better more fulfilling life by learning how to cook and bring this dying skill back to life. Fast food is ok in very moderation but eating it every day for every meal is also killing us. With a few simple skills and a few basic recipes, I believe we can take back the kitchen and own our food !
